Comments from Dr Alaa Dekis who joined at  RDC clinic in  2015:

The Rheumatic Disease Centre of Montreal is a well-established clinic in the heart of Westmount and the ideal place to start a practice, especially as a rheumatologist. Working as staff after residency can be a very challenging period of transition, however, at the RDCM, you are welcomed into a setting where three very experienced rheumatologists have large practices but will always make the time to help and answer questions. The personnel are also very friendly and professional and this includes a secretary and a nurse who are extremely familiar with rheumatology patients. The location is key; it is easily accessible to patients, it is within walking distance to a radiology clinic as well as other specialists such as dermatology and gastroenterology. There is physiotherapy, occupational therapy and an orthopaedic store within minutes from the office. Family physicians have been sending their patients to the RDCM for many years and creating a practice comes effortlessly with an abundance of consultations. Lastly, if you have an interest in MSK ultrasound, there is an US machine at your disposal to make for a very comprehensive patient assessment.
