Rheumatologist - Faculty Lecturer McGill University
The Department of Specialized Medicine of the CIUSSS-ODIM invites applications for a full-time position as a member of the Division of Rheumatology as a clinician, and community-based rheumatologist. The candidate will be eligible to apply for the rank of Faculty Lecturer at McGill University.
The Department of Specialized Medicine is a leader in medical care across the West Island and central communities of Montreal. Job Duties
The candidate is expected to provide the following Rheumatology Services: Emergency and Ward Consult Service, General Outpatient Clinic and cover evening and weekend on-call duties.
The candidate is expected to provide clinical services to the Lakeshore General Hospital on a regular basis, focusing on outpatient referrals and a consult service. The candidate is expected to assist the academic program based at St. Mary’s in clinical innovation for the Division of Rheumatology.
The candidate is also expected to be actively involved in many aspects of McGill’s academic mission (teaching and supervision of clinical trainees, graduate students, and involvement in academic and administrative committees) and will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in these activities.
Qualifications and Education requirements
Candidates must hold an MD degree and must have completed specialty training in Rheumatology, be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in Quebec and certified by the Collège des Médecins du Québec.
Applicants should have experience in teaching medical student and resident trainees and have strong leadership qualities.
All candidates must be fluent in English with a working knowledge of French.
